Vlasta Kodrikova is from South Moravia. She grew up in a family that had practiced spiritualism for two generations. She signs her works "Tulak" (vagabond), which is the name of her spirit. Her works are sometimes accompanied by a date and short religious texts on the back. Like many other mediums, she always begins drawing from the upper left corner of the page. Unlike most other female spiritualist artists, she does not draw floral-inspired works, but rather monochrome geometric ornamental shapes.
